And The Winners are...

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's 17th Annual Cottage Broomball Tournament!

Participating teams were: Wiseguys Sportsbar, Roomers Nightclub, Whiteface Lodge, Desperados Restaurant, Zig Zags Pub, Caffe Rustica Restaurant, Cunningham's Ski Barn, Mirror Lake Inn Maintenance, and of course The Cottage!

Jen "Stormin" Norman, and Brigitte "Truvy" Trudeau rocked the bar on this, easily one of the busiest local nights in Lake Placid.  Tommy Moore and Frank Puckhaber, our refs of 15+ years kept all of our teams in line, while enjoying an occasional budweiser themselves.  Thanks Tom and Frank!  Music was provided by The Cottage, and our own DJ Jazzy Jill.

MVP's of the evening:  Dave "Juice" Recchio of The Cottage (who trained hard for at least 3 days prior), Trevor "The Train" Stanton of Desperados (whose team was almost disqualified--but pulled through in the end), Bryan "Bagelicious" Hartman of Cunningham's Ski Barn (who pulled in the win for his team, even after falling on his keister a few times)  Marky Mark Owens and his funky bunch from the Whiteface Lodge (who actually postponed his vacation to Key West to play) Geoff "Stracky" Strack of Wiseguys Sportsbar (who may have used his experience as the best forward Fredonia State has ever seen to his advantage) and Nina "Stay out of the bushes" Tendler of Rustica who kept the party going on and off the ice.  Good Job everyone!

The trophies went to:

1st- Cunningham's Ski Barn

2nd- Wiseguys Sportbar

3rd- Whiteface Lodge

See you next year!!
